Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Start-up Visa Program, candidates are required to meet the below minimum requirements:
- Qualifying Business- Candidate must have a qualifying business with 10% of the voting rights in the company share and 50% of the voting rights together with the designated organization
- Letter of Support- A letter of support from a venture capital fund, angel investor group, or business incubator
- Language Proficiency- Minimum language level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 on an approved English or French language test
- Financial Proof- A declaration that the candidate has enough money to support self and family in Canada. The amount a candidate shall need will depend on the number of family members migrating with him/her
Candidates can acquire a start-up visa in 12-16 months.
